To you Cancer, what transformations will Pluto bring about over 16 years? (2008 – 2024)
Pluto is a very slow moving planet. It floats farther than any other planet in our solar system, and it takes 248 years for it to circle the twelve signs of the zodiac. This means that it stays in one constellation for 12 to 32 years.
Pluto is currently in Capricorn. It moved into Capricorn in 2008 and will stay there until 2024. Staying in one sign for such a long period of time means that it will have a long lasting effect on our destiny. So, how does Pluto affect you and what does it do to affect you as a Cancer?
Here’s how.
- The Role of Pluto
- Pluto’s “Transformation” for Cancer
(1)The Role of Pluto
Pluto is the planet of transformation, working in the deepest places of ourselves to bring everything to a whole new level. When we think of transformation, we think of Uranus. If Uranus brings about a simple transformation, on the surface, Pluto brings about a transformation on the underside, or better said, from the bottom up. While “change” has a revolutionary buzz to it, “transformation” is accompanied by a sense of wonder that something is changing on a fundamental level. This may be similar to the feeling you get at a moment’s notice that something you used to love so much, something you used to be obsessed with, seems unimportant. By changing your existence, slowly yet fundamentally, suddenly, you are realizing that you have acquired a different set of values than you had before. I mentioned that Uranus brings about changes on the surface, but Pluto seems to bring about transformations in the values, thoughts, and feelings that underpin the surface.
The key words to bring about such a transformation are “death and rebirth”. For example, just as a beautiful butterfly is born after molting from a pupa, or a phoenix that jumps into the fire to die and then rises again, Pluto has the role of creating something new by ending something else.
The word “death” is to be understood only as a symbol, and it can be taken as an image of “end,” “destruction,” or “loss”. Pluto also teaches us that in order to start something, we need to finish something else. However, this doesn’t seem to mean that you have to force yourself to end something. It’s more likely to be something that you’ve finished naturally without realizing it, or something that you’ve finished as you’ve been struggling with a specific problem or issue in your work, life, or love life.
(2) Pluto’s “Transformation” for Cancer
The transformation that Pluto will bring to Cancer in the 16 years from 2008 will be about “partners”. Pluto seems to indicate that your existence will change as someone important to you appears or breaks up with you.
