What trials and triumphs will Saturn bring to you, Gemini? ( Dec. 17, 2020

Saturn officially moved into water-bearer sign Aquarius on December 17, 2020. It will stay in Aquarius for the next two and a half years, specifically until March 7, 2023, encouraging people to build their own “foundation” (the foundation of their destiny that will last for about 30 years!).

By its very nature, Saturn is a planet that encourages growth, and by imposing trials and challenges onto people, it paves the way for said growth. Growth is the process of building a stronger foundation from the past, and it is only when we really have a previous foundation that we have achieved through hardship that we can set broader dreams and higher goals. In this sense, Saturn is also the planet that connects the past and the future.

In other words, what you struggled with in the past is connected in a straight line to the present and to the challenges of the future. This may include experiences that made you wonder, “Why do I have to suffer so much?”

Saturn teaches us how all of these experiences connect, and how we can use them to our advantage.

This is why we’ll be exploring the fate Saturn has given you in the following two chapters. What you have accomplished during the period of ② (which may be an accomplishment you are not even aware of) is the foundation for the present and future challenges of ①.

This means our story will be unpacked as follows:

(1) Challenges you will receive from Saturn for the period December 2020 to March 2023.

(2) What you have already accomplished under Saturn’s trials for the period of about three years from the end of 2017 to December 2020.

It is especially important to read (1) and (2) as a single story in your mind. Use (2) as a foundation and interpret it to read the challenges in (1). And if you are still enduring difficulties right now, it is very important to think of that suffering as still holding a connection to the future, even if you cannot yet see it.

In order to discuss this section, we must first and foremost go over the previous three years mentioned above (listed in the second half as 2). One way of understanding this period of time is a “time of endings” that propels you to a “time of new beginnings.” What might this look like?

The image of a painful journey, as if you were sinking into a spiral of self-denial, sinking into a deep place of your own headspace, can be one way of seeing it. And with the end of that journey, you found a new beginning. The end is the beginning, and when something begins, something always ends.

Now, if we were to tell you about the challenges you are facing right now for the next two and a half years… It’s a time when your connection to the world beyond your day-to-day life will be strengthened. To put it simply, from now until March 2023, Geminis will be on a journey in search of “high” and “far” places.

A “high” place is a world that is beyond your daily life and work. For example, an act of benefiting others without thinking of profit and loss, or a spiritualism that is beyond science; it is a noble world that is beyond this world. And by “distant” places, we mean foreign countries that are far away from us, places and people that we have never had contact with before, and hobbies that we have never been interested in. These are all things that can be described as “feeling distant,” whether physically or psychologically.
