What trials and triumphs will Saturn bring to you, Scorpio? ( Dec. 17, 2020

Saturn officially moved into water-bearer sign Aquarius on December 17, 2020. It will stay in Aquarius for the next two and a half years, specifically until March 7, 2023, encouraging people to build their own “foundation” (the foundation of their destiny that will last for about 30 years!).

By its very nature, Saturn is a planet that encourages growth, and by imposing trials and challenges onto people, it paves the way for said growth. Growth is the process of building a stronger foundation from the past, and it is only when we really have a previous foundation that we have achieved through hardship that we can set broader dreams and higher goals. In this sense, Saturn is also the planet that connects the past and the future.

In other words, what you struggled with in the past is connected in a straight line to the present and to the challenges of the future. This may include experiences that made you wonder, “Why do I have to suffer so much?”

Saturn teaches us how all of these experiences connect, and how we can use them to our advantage.

This is why we’ll be exploring the fate Saturn has given you in the following two chapters. What you have accomplished during the period of ② (which may be an accomplishment you are not even aware of) is the foundation for the present and future challenges of ①.

This means our story will be unpacked as follows:

(1) Challenges you will receive from Saturn for the period December 2020 to March 2023.

(2) What you have already accomplished under Saturn’s trials for the period of about three years from the end of 2017 to December 2020.

It is especially important to read (1) and (2) as a single story in your mind. Use (2) as a foundation and interpret it to read the challenges in (1). And if you are still enduring difficulties right now, it is very important to think of that suffering as still holding a connection to the future, even if you cannot yet see it.

For the next two and a half years, from the end of 2020 to March 2023, your journey as a Scorpio will be a search for “home”.

Home, as the word implies, is your house or family environment, but it also means in general a place where you feel at home. Home is a place to return to, such as a “hometown” or “home turf,” which is associated with a sense of security. In addition, “home” has the connotation of being one’s specialty. It may be the place where you belong to now, such as your company or school, or it may be the “home” where you are confident that you are second to none in sales or product planning, for example. Or it could be the place where you can get back to quality solo time, such as relaxing by exercising or taking a drive when you feel tired. Your journey for the next two and a half years will be to renew these forms of “home”.

For example, new issues may arise in your home during this period. This could be due to the birth of a new child, a job transfer, an affair, or the care of a parent. This is overall a time when the “home” is shaken up and a new form of life is sought.

This may not be your actual home, but the community, school, or department at work where you feel at home. Or there may be a wave of change coming in the things you are good at, the work that only you can do to make money. It’s important to emphasize that these changes are not negative.
