What trials and triumphs will Saturn bring to you, Capricorn? ( Dec. 17, 2020

Saturn officially moved into water-bearer sign Aquarius on December 17, 2020. It will stay in Aquarius for the next two and a half years, specifically until March 7, 2023, encouraging people to build their own “foundation” (the foundation of their destiny that will last for about 30 years!).

By its very nature, Saturn is a planet that encourages growth, and by imposing trials and challenges onto people, it paves the way for said growth. Growth is the process of building a stronger foundation from the past, and it is only when we really have a previous foundation that we have achieved through hardship that we can set broader dreams and higher goals. In this sense, Saturn is also the planet that connects the past and the future.

In other words, what you struggled with in the past is connected in a straight line to the present and to the challenges of the future. This may include experiences that made you wonder, “Why do I have to suffer so much?”

Saturn teaches us how all of these experiences connect, and how we can use them to our advantage.

This is why we’ll be exploring the fate Saturn has given you in the following two chapters. What you have accomplished during the period of ② (which may be an accomplishment you are not even aware of) is the foundation for the present and future challenges of ①.

This means our story will be unpacked as follows:

(1) Challenges you will receive from Saturn for the period December 2020 to March 2023.

(2) What you have already accomplished under Saturn’s trials for the period of about three years from the end of 2017 to December 2020.

It is especially important to read (1) and (2) as a single story in your mind. Use (2) as a foundation and interpret it to read the challenges in (1). And if you are still enduring difficulties right now, it is very important to think of that suffering as still holding a connection to the future, even if you cannot yet see it.

As we will go over later, in the three years leading up to the end of 2020, you have come to know your “foundation” — even if you’re not aware of it. It’s likely to be a fundamental one that will last for about 30 years. However, the “awareness” you possess may be abstract because it is the foundation for a long life ahead. The shorter the period of time, the more concrete your goals and wishes will be, but if your wishes take 10 or 20 years, for example, they will be more abstract or intangible, such as: “I want to live in a way that holds space for my skills” — which could manifest in a variety of was. Ultimately, you are supposed to put into practice the “important things” that you have perhaps abstractly grasped in the three years until the end of 2020, over the course of your long life.

Saturn’s challenge for you from December 17, 2020 to March 2023 is to take the “foundation of life” that you, as a Capricorn, have discovered so far and put it into concrete form (and to face the existence of money head on).
