What trials and triumphs will Saturn bring to you, Aquarius? ( Dec. 17, 2020

Saturn officially moved into water-bearer sign Aquarius on December 17, 2020. It will stay in Aquarius for the next two and a half years, specifically until March 7, 2023, encouraging people to build their own “foundation” (the foundation of their destiny that will last for about 30 years!).

By its very nature, Saturn is a planet that encourages growth, and by imposing trials and challenges onto people, it paves the way for said growth. Growth is the process of building a stronger foundation from the past, and it is only when we really have a previous foundation that we have achieved through hardship that we can set broader dreams and higher goals. In this sense, Saturn is also the planet that connects the past and the future.

In other words, what you struggled with in the past is connected in a straight line to the present and to the challenges of the future. This may include experiences that made you wonder, “Why do I have to suffer so much?”

Saturn teaches us how all of these experiences connect, and how we can use them to our advantage.

This is why we’ll be exploring the fate Saturn has given you in the following two chapters. What you have accomplished during the period of ② (which may be an accomplishment you are not even aware of) is the foundation for the present and future challenges of ①.

This means our story will be unpacked as follows:

(1) Challenges you will receive from Saturn for the period December 2020 to March 2023.

(2) What you have already accomplished under Saturn’s trials for the period of about three years from the end of 2017 to December 2020.

It is especially important to read (1) and (2) as a single story in your mind. Use (2) as a foundation and interpret it to read the challenges in (1). And if you are still enduring difficulties right now, it is very important to think of that suffering as still holding a connection to the future, even if you cannot yet see it.

The two and a half years from the end of 2020 to March 2023 is a time to determine where you will end up in the span of the next 30 years. Many Aquarius have been working to remove pieces of themselves that no longer fit, but now that you are carrying a lighter load at the end of last year, you have finally embarked on a new journey.

Now will be a period of time for you to find your true destination. It could be a financial goal, or it could be a long-term relationship. In the former case, it could be an encounter with what you call your “calling”. In the latter case, it could be an encounter with a partner with whom you will spend the rest of your life. However, this is not necessarily an easy time to find such a thing. In order to find such opportunities and goals, or in other words, to find your “destiny”, you need to find a tangible way to make it happen — so this is also a time for learning. As the saying goes: “What you get easily goes out easily.” In other words, what is really important cannot be acquired without thinking hard and making efforts.
